Inspired by The Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie and his project, The Secret Path, Guelph's Jason Lafave and three other fans will leave this weekend on a two-day hike to retrace the journey of Chanie Wenjack. The 12-year-old Anishinaabe boy, who is the focus of Downie’s multi-media project, died in October 1966 at the age of 12 after he ran away from a residential school and tried to find his way home.
